B16 head on a D16 block?

Has this ever been done?

There is a guy here where i live that is selling a port and polished B16 head for$150.
I wanna know ifI was to buy this would it bolt up to my D16y8 bottom end. And if it does then what all would i need?

umm pretty sure you cant put a dohc head on a sohc block,, wait mabey, no you cant sorry bud it wont work, buy it any ways and hold on to it and buy a b20 block and you can put that on there...

nope...it has to be the same series engine for everything to bolt up. D-D, B-B, H-H (except the S2000 F-series won't bolt up to any accord F-series parts). Thats a steal for $150. Snag it and you can at least sell it for more $$$, but a b20vtec or LSvtec would be preferable ;p

the f-series dohc accord and h-series will bolt to each other

they share a common block design/basis

i forget if they're a direct transplant as well, or if it's a B/D situation with just mounts/tranny

no b-head on a d-block.... sorry.... and if u find a b20zblock its way better than a b20b block or u can go b18b block(better for turbo because piston walls are thinker) then turbo.... good luck
