b16 swap no start

Default b16 swap no start

i just got a b16 swap, i put it into my 94 civic and i cant get it to start...i have fuel coming out the injectors. i have spark at my plugs. but it doesnt sound like i have compression.... what should i check? should i do a compression test? iv been told to adjust the valves, and i tryed but im not sure if i did it right. im just really frustrated...any help would be appreciated

First check, did you flood your motor during all these cranking? Check all your wiring connections.

well the injectors werent even working until today.and after i got them working i stopped trying to start it.. so i doubt i flooded the engine.

Yes, test the compression. Make sure the cams are in time. Check the firing order, when you set the engine to TDC1 take the distributor cap off and see that the rotor points to wire #1. Make sure the rocker arms are slack when the valve is supposed to be closed.

alright i will check all that tomorrow and let you guys know. i just adjusted the timing belt because it was a tooth off and now its perfect...ill check the valves and dizzy tomorrow though..thanks
