Default B18 Swap question

Ok, I have read around and can't find out a straight answer about which tranny to use in the swap. I have a 99 civic ex. Can I use my tranny that is in the car or do I need to get a different one. Also, can someone give me a complete list of everything I would need to do the swap. Everything I have read all say different on what all is needed. I want to make sure I don't forget anything if I do the swap.

Thanks in advance.

Chances are no.

If you car is stock then you have a D series engine. The B18 is a B series engine (hence the B) and requires a B series transmission. As yours is a D series transmission, it will not work.

You will need a b-series transmission. Anything from a B16, B18, or B20 will work.

Also which B18 do you have?

Have you decided what B motor your going with yet? I would actually try and find what people have said about them after swaps instead of just jumping into the usual B16 swap. Plus decide whether your going to boost later or stay NA.

I never heard that I needed brakes and rotors for a B series car either and I have a swapped car haha. Is that correct?
