Battery fuse blowing

Default Battery fuse blowing

I have replaced my battery fuse a few times and it keeps blowing shortly after any ideas?

Check the big white wire that goes from the fuse box to the alternator for any damage leading to shorts to ground. It could also be the alternator itself.

well i ended up sticking a wire in that fuse and got it running i was going to test the alternator at autozone and they said my battery needed to be charged before they could test it so i had them charge it after i stuck the battery back in it would not start it just cranks and cranks i dont know what the deal is

oh and the rpms go up to 500 when i turn the key to the on position if that means anything i thought it was strange
