Default Blinker problem

the blinker doesn't return to the off position after I made a turn(both left and right turn). other than that, the signal light works properly, it blinks accordingly, but of coz it never turns off until I manually push the blinker to the off position. I told my mechanics and he said he will need to replace the switch which cost like 130 for parts and 100 labors. I am just wondering is there anything I can fix it myself like some loose wiring etc.

Not really, it's a crappy plastic bump-like thing or spring that's worn out. It happens when you manually turn off the blinker too much. It's not the easiest thing to fit, so if it bothers you that much, just get a NEW switch because junk yard switches will likely be just as bad.

Thats how my windshield one is... ive thought it was normal because my old 94 dx did the same thing, til i went to the junkyard and seen those come back up after you press them down. Ill be driving along... and hit a bump, all of a sudden my windshield wipers come on. NOT suppose to do that. lol
