I can't believe this is happening to me.
2002 Honda Civic LX Sedan
167,500 Miles...
Maintained to the T, I've never even had to do a clutch yet...

It was rattling from right side of engine by the belts...nothing leaking.

I drive it 15 miles in heavy traffic to the dealership and noticed the rattling and a bit of a whining getting worse, but the gauges were all good.

I get into the the service drive and it's pouring out coolant, but not overheating yet. I'm thinking water pump (which was replaced after market at 99K)

They just called me and said the water pump is blown, the head gasket is gone and there is a knocking and that I need a new engine at $3,500...this is a Honda dealership...WTF man??
