Bogging out at 3500 rpms

Default Bogging out at 3500 rpms

I'm new to the Honda seen actually just bought a 97 civic it bogs at 3500 rpms and once it gets to 4000 it's smooth

There are no codes, I assume. In that case it could be the timing is wrong, or it's starving for gas with a clogged fuel filter.

Does it only bog at 3,500 ? A bad throttle position sensor can cause a kind of bucking in certain ranges.
