I have a 2001 Civic Si. Recently, both low beams on my headlights died. The high beams work fine. I replaced the bulbs.....still no low beams but high beams OK. I checked all fuses, which were fine but replaced them anyway. I did not change the Relays.

Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong???

 

u just answered ur own question. u didnt change the relays. i too had the same problem were low beam wasnt working btu high beams work. to make the story short i ended up goin to the jump yard and pulled of 2 relays ( the thing where u plug the bulb into) and i cut the old one of and splice the new ones on and it solved my problem. funny thing is i dont use low beams EVER i only use high beams lol

 

thanks, i already replaced the wiring harnesses on both lights and still have the same problem. the relays in the fuse box test fine when interchanged with other relays like the one for the a/c. maybe the switch in the steering wheel is bad? i have read about a recall on the actual plugs overheating, maybe i will just go to honda and get the factory harnesses installed. any other suggestions?

 

I know that 01 hondas are affected by that recall, my car had it fixed a couple years ago. I would go that route and get honda to fix it as it will probably be for free.
