Broken filter cover
Here it is - I changed the air filter in my 03 Si, and broke the cover in the process [:@]
Any suggestions on how to fix this are welcome.
Thanks!

looks like a hose goes on it, right? if you still have the piece that broke, use a plastic bonding glue. if you dont have the piece, then get a hose or a piece of plastic that fits tightly into the holeof the broken part. you can glue it in, or if its tight ecough, you wont have to. then attach your exsisting hose to the piece of plastic and hose clamp it down. good luck
Thanks, mikezcdx
Yes, breather hose goes there. And I do have a piece that broke. But I think I will try to find another cylinder piece of plactic or whatever, just to make this thing a bit stronger. The way it's designed makes it really easy to break

Excuse to buy a short ram intake?
Excuse to buy a short ram intake?
I don't think this tiny fraction of a single horsepower I might get out of it justifies the money and labor involved, and the increase of intake noise and probably worse mileage...

and the labour involved is less then finding a piece to fix the part you broke, the intake noise just sounds sex, and it can actually help gas milage. the only reason it would make it worse is if you love the noise and plant your foot every chance you get just to hear it scream... like i do

And you will get slightly better milage, even if it is 1mpg, it's better than stock

It's not about the horsepower, it's about the added throttle response...

werd.
I noticed an improvement in my gas mileage immediately after installing my short ram intake, as well as improved throttle response and power at higher rpms. it sounds a hella lot sexier too. lol.
btw, that added MPG will probably pay for the short ram in a year or less.
