burning oil

i got a 94 civic dx with the sohv and the motor is burning oil. my frend had the same car but a 88 civic and it did the samething. so im thinking its a commin problem. it burms a lot of oil and it spits some on the groud when you start it. do you guys know whats going on

find were the leak is coming from you may just be loosing it all were its leaking. Pull out your spark plugs and see if they are coated in oil. Also do a compression test.

all cars burn oil nothink you can do about that but if it burns alot then do a compression test check the plugs and do a leak down test to check the condition of your motor you may need an new head gasked or valve seals
