hey guys new to the forums. I have a 2000 Honda Civic EX my a/c runs pretty cold when driving around town. But if i sit at a street light or parking lot while idle the air begins to blow warm to almost hot. As soon as i start moving the A/C blows cold again... Am i just low on freeon or is it something else please help!

 

Check that the condenser fan works. The condenser is the radiator-like device in the front of the car, next to the radiator. The fan should be running all the time the compressor is engaged.

 

so it the fan should be running when the i turn the ac on and it should stay running correct?

 

yes it should run the whole time the a/c button is pressed in and the blower in the dash is running .

 

Agreed, check the condenser fan, and a freeon recharge might not be such a bad idea either
