Default a/c problem..need some help

i have a 2005 civic and had the condenser replaced cause it got damaged from road debris and leaked out all the freon. i took it to a local shop where they replaced the condenser and evacuated the system and then recharged it. it worked for about 5 min after i picked it up and then the conpressor began to turn off and on like every 5 seconds. every time it would turn on it would put an extremely large load on the engine to where the belt would start to squeek. it turned around and took it back to the shop that did the work and they said that the accumulator is most likely saturated and needs replacing. .. has anyone had this problem and would they be correct in wanting to replace the accumulator? also is there any other damage that could have been caused. Any help would be appreciated!!

Typically excessive pressure comes from being overcharged, air in the system, or condenser fan not working.
