Hello my mom's 2003 Civic LX automatic had a major oil leak and today when pulling things apart I discovered that the cam seal just completly popped out and was resting against the pully. She does all her required maint. and oil changes. Her timing belt and water pump were replaced a few years ago not sure if the cam seal was... What could cause the cam seal to just pop out?

I've never heard of one doing that. the car almost seems to young for the seal to have degraded and fallen out.
