Can anybody answer this?

I have a 2000 honda civic ex that i need to replace the motor in. Can anyone tell me if a japanese d16 will work the same as an american made d16y8? I've heard it both ways, same say it'll work fine, others have told me it won't...

Your ECU will be looking for some sensors that the JDM engine does not have.

sorry to thread jack but i have a question , why is it that the jdm b18c doesnt have a v-tec oil pressure sensor ?
