Cannot open the door with key from outside
Hi. When I lock my civic 2007 from outside. I cannot open it with key. Maybe after trying 40 to 50 times it opens. When I insert and try yo turn the key it does not turn rather gives a click sound as it it is stuck or something blocking it to turn and open. I thought of spraying WD40, if it works.
Any idea? If I go to mechanic how much they might charge?
Thank you.

If WD40 works to get the lock working, put a few drops of oil on your key after to keep it in good order. WD40 is NOT a lubricant, it is primarily
a solvent. When it dries up, you have sticky parts again.
I had a 95 VX that had sat in Oregon for 4-5 years, none of the locks worked until I soaked them with oil.
