Default Cant turn Alarm off

I had my 1997 Civic LX for 4 years now, never had a keyless entry system. The vehicle anti theft system came on for some reason with a blinking red light on the radio panel, and nowi cant start the car. I've tried locking it, opening it with my key without any luck. I have never heard the alarm or even knew that it had it. Anyone know what to do????

Hey just in case anyone out there experiences this stupid problem, I'll tell you all how to fix it. I'm still puzzled by just how this all happend but the important thing is, is that its off now so here it goes.......

This only works if you have the regular stock radio on the 97' Civic Lx model, There is a thin long button located between the AM/FM & CD/TAPE buttons that looks like if its just a strip that seperate these two. If you put your key in the ignition to "ON" just before turning the engine on, and push and hold this small button for about 5 seconds, the radio will reset itself and your doors should unlock. This is how i fixed this problem.
