what do i do if i overfilled it?

it will have to be emptied some to get the correct pressure. to much pressure it very bad on the compressor.

to be environmentally friendly and also within federal law guidelines, I'd recommend that you go to a shop and have them evacuate and refill the system according to oem specs. this is a guaranteed way of putting the correct amt of refrigerant.
