Was driving down the road and car shut off. When it goes to start it it sounds like it starts but dies agian. What could be the problem?

oh, then your ECU is chiped, so we will need abit more info than that. What motor and mods do you have? any issues before it died? who chipped it and was it tuned?

 

vtech with a greddy turbo is all wrong idk what mods the kid that did it didnt put anything on it right. but it was running then it just bogged out. the map sensor on the car is wrong and the abd i think its called for the vtech is wrong.

ok, on the side of the motor, toward the front on the car, where the motor meets the tranny, there should be a number stamped on the block... should be something like d16y8, h18..... something to that effect. also do you know how much boost it is running. and what do you mean that nothing was hooked up right?

 

Could it be my map sensor? I think it had a bad one on it. I unhooked it and tried to start it up and it actually all started right but it shut off. Before when i would try to start it it would like bog out and if so what kinda would i need? When it quits raining ill get engine type.

 

are you sure it isnt your distributor?

 

put a obd2 on it or if your running obd1 throw an obd conversion together and get the codes..if its bogging out it has to have a check engine light code..its usually p1381 that does that.
