Car won't start!!!
I did retard the timing.
It has been sitting for a little while, but all the dome lights, CD player, ect.. come on.
It's a '96 Civic DX- manual trans.

1) Check whether the battery is low on charge.
2) Check the safety starter switch at the top of the clutch pedal. It might be bad or the rubber stopper has broken or fallen out.
3) Check the starter itself by wiring it directly to the battery when the transmission is in NEUTRAL. If it does not crank, the starter is bad.
4) Check the ignition switch.
