Default castle nut

Hey, i've just replaced the entire driverside halfshaft and in putting everything back together, i'm having some trouble screwing back on the castlenut to secure the control arm (i think that's what it's called). When the castle nut gets to a point where there is too much friction, the screw itself starts spinning with the castlenute and I can't get it any tighter. Any advice?

Thanks,
Josh

i don;t know exactly where it is; but it is the bolt threads that are bad.
is everything else connected?
a die is used to try to make the threads usuable. but can you get anything on the bar to hold it that the threads are on.
or is this the tie rod end. may need a new tie rod end if it is.

yah, it was the threads, because when I first took the nut off, I still had to bang on the control arm to allow it to drop off the spring rod so i could pull the half shaft off. BUt yah, i bought a new castle nut from the dealer and with a little bit of twisting, everything is fine. thanks
