catback

will not fit.
requires some shortening before the S-bend, and then some shortening the piping directly before the muffler. After that though, it'll fit great.
credibility of this statement: I had to do the same thing on my del Sol, which has extremely similar exhaust routing as (and rumored to be identical to) the 92-95 hatchback.
I recommending taking it to a small-business exhaust shop and having them do it. It's much easier to figure out how much to shorten everything when the car is up on a lift. It cost me around $80 total to get it all trimmed to fit.

reason im wonderin is cuz my car smokes cuz the cat is stocked up. so i figured buying a new catback would help but dont wanna spend alot so advancedjdmparts is wher i looked and out of stock for hb. so im jus gonna order a muffler and have the shop in town cut the cat out n run piping for a fake cat.

Replace the catalytic converter.
Is your catalytic converter under the car or is it right in front of the engine?

Bad cat will not make the car smoke. Is it oil smoke (blue/gray) or fuel smoke (black)? In the first case the engine is worn out. In the second one there is a control problem making it run rich.
Running rich can burn out the cat, but it's not the other way around.

all stock. no check engine light.
ive been running that shell nitrogen enriched gas. someone said it could be the clean gas (shell) cleaning out the old gas from the cat. could this be y it smokes?
