Default cd installation

I got a OEM cd player from my mother in law who traded in her civic and never had the cd player put in so she gave it to me.
It is for a 96 honda civic ex sedan

I currently have cassette player

is it really hard to install this cd player in place of the tape player

looks like it is plug and play - remove the front console and then undo the screws for the tape player and remove and install the cd player. looks like they have the same connection.

my question is - is it hard to remove the din connector from the radio unit? can I reach it without taking any of the dash apart?

thanks in advance. Did anybody else do this to their civic?

Default RE: cd installation

Plug and play. I think you have to take off one piece of dash trim that is in front of the radio, then unscrew the screws beside the radio and the bolt in the back. Also you may need a security code to activate the new radio. Write down all the serial numbers on it before you install it.
