Default CEL from engine swap.

I have a 98 civic ex coupe and I put an integra ls motor in and ever since then im getting the vtec malfunction code..i have an obdII reader and I tried to clear the code but it keeps showing how do I make the CEL go off?? Will it still pass inspection the way it is?? Any help is appreciated

If you get the code immediately there is probably a break in the wiring to the VTEC solenoid, or open solenoid. If it happens only after you go to high rpm the problem may be the pressure switch (or an actual mechanical problem).

What ECU are you running?

Well, if you installed a B18b (or a), that motor doesn't have vtec. If you are running your stock EX (SOHC VTEC) ECU, then it is looking for the vtec solenoid. Switch the ECU to one for that motor and you should be fine I would assume.
