Central Locking Question

Default Central Locking Question

i have a 2001 honda civic exi, one morning the right back passenger door dammed. the lock mechanism is not coming out of the lock position. i can hear the mechanism moving when i unlock the doors but door still not comin out of the lock position. can you tell me what the problem could be and how i can fix it.

well hearing it is good , it means you got power going to it , but to find out whats broke you'll have to pull off the door panel
but my guess would be the actuator , its made of plastic , so it may have something stripped or broken on it

well i am trying myself to see if i can get the panel taken off n see myself but seeing that the door is jammed shut..i cant seem to get it off..any suggestions

you might try the old coat hanger trick... or a jimmy if you can find one.
