ok its showing codes 24 and 5? i dont have a book i was relying on a friend on this one but i cant get ahold of him .. help. thanks.

there is no code 24. did you mean 2 and 4? if not, check the code again.

according to that link, 24 doesn't exist, but yea 2 long 4 short is 24

Whenever you have more than one code, clear them and then see which one reoccurs first. That one probably corresponds to a real problem.

Note that code 14 will occur whenever the idle speed is out of control, which may or may not be due to the EACV itself.

ya i cleared it all and then started it back up and now its just saying 14. yeah... o by the way its a 99 civic with a 0bd1 motor. 94 delsol block 99 y8 head...

Are you sure that the Y8 IACV is compatible with the OBD1 ECU?
