Default Check Engine Light! 2000 Civic DX Auto

If already posted please direct me...
My light just came on and my brother checked my car to find out that the fan does not turn on after like 10 minutes, but the a/c fan turns on with the a/c on.
Would that other fan be the problem for the check eng light coming on?

Thanks

If the fan doesn't come on when it should, the engine will overheat-- the temperature gauge will go up too far towards hot. That does not make the check engine light come on. It can take a long time idling before the fan comes on especially in mild weather.

To find out why the light is on, you need to hook up a code scanner and check the code. Many parts stores will do this for free.

You can also pull the code by jumping the service connector. Click CEL link in my signature.

Default A/C Sensor!

Went to auto zone and they said it was the a/c sensor and didn't carry it in stock. Someone else said it wouldn't hurt to drive it like that since it works.

Stand corrected on the fan not turning on, guess it has to get pretty hot to turn on!

Should the coolant be blue in the radiator!

There no A/C malfunction that would throw a CEL code.

Issue incorrect!
Did not wait long enough for the fan to turn on, the water stays cool and works well.
The code was incorrect! P0135 which is the O2 Heater Sensor.
Still working on this issue on another post which is a false code from what others say due to the #15 fuse Alternator regulator.

The code is real regardless. The underlying cause may differ.

AGREE, Just want to make sure others with issues know that the code P0135 is NOT A/C related!
It is O2 Sensor and i am trying to find out what is causing this to be on.
