Today when on my way back home from skool my check engine light came on while i was driving through some hills. it stayed on till i stopped, shut the car off and started it again. y would it do that? also when ever i turn the key on the check engine light(along with all others) then after about 2-4 secs it goes out. is this normal? or is there something wrong?

 

the check engine light will come on for a few seconds when you turn the key and turn off, its normal. your computer system is obd0..it will turn the cel on when a problem occurs but itll turn off once you shut the car off and then restart until the problem re-occurs. however your ecu will store the code till reset.
