Default check engine light help

My check engine light comes on when i get into higher rpms. I checked the ecu and it came up with a 7 and a 9. What does this mean.

Code 7 is the throttle position sensor, 9 is the #1 cylinder pulse sensor (inside the distributor).

Whenever there is more than one code, reset the ECU (disconnect battery with the key off) and test drive until the CEL comes on again. See which code reoccurs first.

The TPS can be tested with a voltmeter. Turn the key on but don't start. Measure voltage from center wire of the TPS to ground. It should move smoothly from 0.5 volts to 4.5 volts as you pull the throttle from closed to open.
