Default checking timing with recessed plugs

Does anyone have any suggestions on checking timing with the recessed plugs that my Civic has (it's about 6 inches deep)? Either where to purchase an adapter (Autozone and Advnaced said they don't have anything) or how to juryrig my own would be fine. Thanks,

Andy

Use a timing light with an inductive pickup, you can clamp it anywhere along the wire. If you have one of those old-school lights that needs to be hardwired to the plug, you mihgt be able to put the spring thing in the distributor end instead. But better off to replace it with an inductive one.
