Default Civic 96 DX wiper problem

Hey guys, I have this little anoying problem with my wipers.

I can hear them forcing when I put them on (can hear a little sound coming from the wiper motor I guess) and if I leave them on for too long they will eventually stop working. Untill I stop the car and give it a good rest, the next time I start the car again they will work, I try to give them a little rest by turning them on only when I can't see no more (I know I know..).

Anyway, is it the wiper motor, or transmision relay maybe?

Thanks in advance!

Hello reparent, your wiper problem could be just a lubrication or assembly problem at the axels and bearings of the wiper mechanicals under the hood. And yes sometimes it is the wiper controler, if you have a situation when the intermitent function stops working and all you get is slow speed and fast then it is the electronic part.

For anyone's interest, it turned out that it was the wiper motor..

But I did hear people with same problems where it was because the wipers were ceased, needs to be taken out and greased at the axle.

The most expensif part I ever had to pay for since I got my car 3 years ago, I now have over 300 000 km on it and still running great! No smoke, just a good ride!
