Default Civic puttering with loss of power

I don't know whats been happening with my civic, but there has been a puttering sound from the car. Like, shifting into first gear, then slowly accelerating, it will putt depending on how hard i press on the gas pedal. Maybe the clutch is going out? Anyone have any ideas on what i can check?

You need to to check your fuel filter. It may have gone bad
