Default civic running rough when cold

ok it is a 2000 ex. when it is cold it runs rough up to about 2500 rpm then runs kinda good. when it is warm it runs much better throughout the rpm range but still has a lil miss to it. i am wondering if it could be a skipped tooth on the timing belt. no c/e light. i have change the map sensor,o2 sensors, cleaned the valve behind the intake what ever it is called. the spark timing is correct. i am just wondering if it could be anything else? could it be a skipped tooth? i bought the car running this way. thanks for any help and input.

Make sure the CEL works. It should come on for a bulb test when you turn the key on but don't start.

Misfiring at low rpm and heavy throttle is usually due to weak sparks. The spark plug wires are particularly prone to do this. You can't tell if they are bad by looking, just replace them.

Checking for skipped timing belt is easy enough, take the upper plastic cover off (you will need to lift the valve cover to get it unhooked), rotate crankshaft by hand to TDC, and see if the marks line up. If spark timing comes in correct with the distributor near the center of the adjustment range, timing belt should be OK.

plug wires look pretty new. they r high perf. its got msd ignition. is there any way to tell if the spark is up to voltage? ill check yhe belt. it really doesnt seem like spark. it runs pretty good when warm.
