Default civic winter tires

I have an 09 civic 2dr exl and I want to buy witner tires and rims. The car has 16" wheels, but I am thinking of buying 15" winter steel rims and tires. At Canadian Tire, they list on alloy rims for 08/09 years, but 07 lists steel multi fits. Will these fit my 09? Will 15" do the job? Bruce

i believe 06-09 civics have the same lug pattern 5x114.3? if this is so then they should fit. and i think 15" is good enough for winter wheels. also what are these winter steel rims you are talking about, stock donut/ steelies? you might be able to find cheaper/ used steelies on craiglist

EDIT: going from 16" to 15" would throw your speedometer off a little bit.
