Clunking Noise on my Auto Coupe
Hi Guys!
I've had my Civic Coupe about a month and I'm getting a knocking sounds when going from reverse to drive, sounds like something expensive, especially as a new gearbox is £2800... anyone got suggestions as to what this might be?
Cheers all.

If your Civic is an old one (like 1995 or down)check the "torque stoppers" on the gearbox. You can see them through a hole in the wheel well on the front wheels. It should be a bolt surrounded by rubber that is ATTACHED to the sides. If the rubber is missing, or cracked, this is your problem.
If it is not, then it is possible you have a CV Joint that is about to fail. Does the wheel "knock" when turning hard in a certain direction?
