Hello i need some help... i bought a 95 civic coupe a few weeks ago.

it doesnt pass smog because its running extremely rich, i think the error code is code 43, somethings wrong with the fuel system. A bit of black smoke continously comes out of the exhaust.

How could i fix this?

black smoke usually is unburnt fuel, did you check your timing and spark plugs/wires?

 

I bought new spark plug wires, new dizzy, changed all the belts... maybe i have to do the timing with the timing gun

 

how old is your o2 sensor? try replacing that too. i heard that bad fuel filter and o2 sensor also triggers the code 43. reset the ecu after replacing it.

 

where can i find the meaning of these codes?? i have a code 41
