Question Collision damage at opposite tire?

4-door '03 Civic Hybrid. Front right end collision - car turned left from the lane to my right (other driver was at fault). Yanked to the right to try to avoid collision but couldn't avoid it. My front right tire & bumper hit front left door of other car . Front right bumper pushed back so front passenger side door wouldn't open. Original auto body shop only checked front alignment. Now (2 months later) having alignment & suspension issues at left rear tire. Due to type of collision and the fact that no other trauma has happened to the car I think it is related to the accident. The car had no previous alignment or suspension issues. Does anyone have technical knowledge of the construction of the Civic Hybrid to back this up?
