i got my computer box stolen out of my car and i have no idea how much it is to replace it. and i don't even know if that is the right name for the item. it was at the kick pannel of the passanger side under the carpet. if someonecan help that would be great.

Hopefully the thieves just unplugged it cleanly rather than cutting your wires. If the wires have to be spliced that's going to be a significant labor cost.

It's called the "engine computer", "ECM" (Engine Control Module), :etc. They are typically in the mid three figures in cost. Shop for a used one, you might get yours back.

 

wow that sucks..its called your ECU..and what kind of motor do you have? To know which ecu you would want to put back on your car.

 

1600 vetec shoc and yes they did only unplug it. it happened tuesday nite and i got finger prints in the crime lab.
