Corner lights are malfunctioning
I have a 95 civic ex and the corners arent working properly. My left corner stays lit when the headlights are on but doesnt blink when i turn the blinker on. My right corner does not light up when lights are on but blinks when i turn the blinker on. I have checked the bulbs they are fine but im thinking something with the fuses or wires. so if you can help me out that would be great.
mine did that too. turned out i had the wrong size bulb in it. if you have a 95 civ. then you either need to have a 1157 or a 3496. i would recommend a 3496 b/c they are easier to find and you change the colors as well. you cannot however with the 3496 bc it is a single filament bulb. what happened with mine i bought some new corners and they sent me some bulbs and they were 1156 instead of that and they didnt fit correctly correctly and when i turned my headlights on all of my corner lights came on as well as they lights on blinker lights on the dash and they would nt even flash. and whan the headlights were off and i hit the blinker they would all flash. it sucked. but yeah dude if you have changed your bulbs recently then that may be what it is. peAce
I hate to say this 94 Civic EX, but you are right, and yet wrong. The 1156 type bulb is a single filament bulb and the two posts on the base of the bulb are at the same height. The 1157 type bulb is a dual filament and one post on the sides of the bulb is set higher than the other. Now in the case of 1995 Civic EX Vs. Corner Lights, the 1157 is the correct bulb to be used, and there are two reasons for this. First, the socket where the bulb fits into will onyl accet a bulb where one of the posts located on the side of the bulb is offset higher than the other. The 1156 will fit in there however, it will not lock when you twist it. The second reason for the 1157 bulb to be the correct one is the due to the fact that one of your filaments is your passing light and the second filament is your turn signal. So one filament is constantly on, which is your passing light, and the other filament only comes on the the relay from the turn signal sends power to it, blinker light. So one is always on(passing/parking light) and the other one is the blinker filament(turn signal). So there ya have it.
ok tell me again how am i wrong? i am right about both b/c u juststated exactlt wjhat i just said again. so i f u just reststed what i said then i would be right. no i wouldn't be wrong. now would i? tell me again. oh you're so funny. any....any...my dad can beat up yer dad jokess u wanna throw out there while ur at it.....cause i'm ....cause i'm here......GOD you're so funny

thanks 94 civic i got a set of 3496 bulbs and now both of them work but my left one is dimmer than my right one so what do you suggest i do to fix this problem? i dont think theres a good connection in the socket or somethin.
I apologize about that 94 Civic EX. I was just reading fast and I guess I missunderstood what you are saying. But now that I reread what you said and what I said, I feel like a total idiot. I didn't mean to seem like Mr. Know-it-all, I just misunderstood what you said. Now that being said, you can completely disregard what I had wrote as a reply. So I guess you were right to begin with. Sorry 94 Civic EX. My post was not necessary here.
