Default RE: Couple issues, speedometer and engine cutting out

well, i put new plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter, distributor cap and rotor button in the civic today. The car idles better and runs better, but i still have the same hesitation issue. It falls on its face when you get on it hard. I can easily accelerate to 3k rpm and then it just starts stuttering. It feels like a rev limiter almost. Has anyone had this problem before? just curious what else to check.

Check the ignition timing.

I agree with RonJ. Mine speedometer was doing the same thing and that was the culprit. If your odometer is working and the only the needle jumps around it is speedometer. My 95 Civic Ex speedometer is starting to jump around at 182,000 mi. As for the cutting out, it was the fuel filter on my 95 EX. However, my EG6 does it once in awhile but I plan on cleaning the IACV when it becomes more frequent.
