Default Cruise Control Adjustment

99 Civic EX: Whenever you activate the cruise on the hwy 70-80 mph, the rpm will jump about 200 rpm, sometimes downshift, then settle down to the chosen speed. How do you adjust the cruise? I expect its never been done and the cables are stretched.

My 2000 EX does this, and I believe that nothing is wrong with the cruise.

I believe this is actually pretty normal, I don't know about the loose cable, but my 98 Civic does this. It does not take long for it to find itself.
