Default Cruise Control Removal ?

Alright so im about to remove my cruise control for two reasons i dont use it since the car is rearly driven long distances and second im trying to free up some space for a cleaner engine bay. I need to know how to remove the cable to goes into the firewall and by doing this will it affect the car in any way ?

I want cruise control, and hate living without it on my HX. Keep it for good resale value!

You'll only free up very little space, IMO it's not worth it.....and you'll probably agree if you everneed to drive 1000 miles without cruise control. I find on the civics, it actually takes quite a bit of continuous pressure on the gas to keep itat a constant freeway speed.(compared to other cars i've driven).

If I'm correct, the arm I have circled connects to the CC unit... once you get it disconnected, you should just have to twist the rubber grommet that the CC cable runs through out and pull the cable out.

*disclaimer: I'm not completely sure on anything I've just said... it's just my guess.
