Hey everyone i have a 95 eg sedan wit a d15b block wit a y8 head and y8 manifold wit a the d15b cam gear and d15b non vtec dizzy car idles from 1500k to 2500k and wen i try driven it just bogs and slowly picks yup speed? What do think help me out plzzz!

 

Make sure the spark wires are plugged in the correct order. If the engine will start, disconnect the fuel injectors (not the plug wires, as that is prone to blow the coil) one at a time to check for dead cylinders. Install ECU test jumper and set spark timing with a timing light. If it doesn't come in near the center of the adjustment range, the timing belt may be off by a tooth.

Air leaking into the intake from anywhere will increase idle speed. Hoses disconnected, bad gaskets, throttle cable too tight, etc. Also make sure the cooling system is full and the ECT sensor is plugged in.

All this is assuming there are no ECU codes. If the CEL comes on when running, find out what the code is.
