Where are the diagnostic plugs?

diagnostic plugs? Are you talking about an OBD-II DataLink Connector?

The '94 is OBDI. It will not interface to an OBDII scanner.

To check codes, locate the test plugs above the ECU on the right side of the car under the dash. There are 2 plugs. The one with 3 wires is for a proprietary Honda scanner. You want the other one with 2 wires. Jumper the pins in that plug with a test wire. Turn on the key (do not start engine) and the code number(s) will blink out on the CEL.
