Default Different tire size

I currently have a set of 205-40-17's on my 93 ex. I have on that doesn't want to hold air. I can get ahold of a set of 215-45-17's that were on my friends 01 civic. Question is, other than throwing off my speedo, will these tires work without any other probs? It would be a temp fix untill the end of the month when I get paid

well if youve got 2 good right size tires then you can simply put the larger tires in the rear... as long as your not lowered they should be fine... but if your lowered you could run into some problems with rubbing....

i originaly had 2 larger tires in the rear and right size ones in the front. that will keep your speedo right..

BUT if your tires just dont want to hold air take them to a tire shop and have them tested for leaks... could be a leaky valve stem, or just a poor bead seal.... then they just take the tire off clean the wheel and tire bead and put the tire back on and if its bent then they could try some bead sealer to help hold air... if its not to bad the bead sealer should do the trick...

but if your tires leak on the sidewall then they are screwed..... they have to be replaced.. but no need to buy new tires if your old ones are still good!!!!!!

No, old ones are shot. The ones on the rear are starting to become slicks. The tires my friend is giving me are practically BN. And if they would work, I might just keep them. They would be going on 17x7 wheel. I did the wheel calculator, and the speedo difference was about 3mph@65mph, nothing I am concearned about. I'm just curious if they will rub in the front(I'm running Stock suspension). The price is right, know what I mean? but not if it is going to be a problem
