Default DIY antenna installation?! help

I have a 95' civic EX and my antenna broke and the plug that goes into the radio is broken also. basically I need to change the antenna. now new antennas are cheap to buy but installing them is the key. how can I instal a new antenna in my car?

Default RE: DIY antenna installation?! help

disconnect at the radio and connect a string or thin wire at the radio end and remove screws that hold the base of the antenna on the car and pull the antenna on out with the string (i prefer string) attached.
the string is used to thread the new antenna back in.
this is for 84 to 91 (as per my haynes manual).
if your plug is broken then i think you will have to take the radio out and fix that (or i guess in your case the broke part is on the antenna ???)
if it is power, then you extend theantenna and then disconnect from the motor first.
