That was oil on the inside of the cap? Seals that lead to the inside? Yeah I would love to see pistures, since I just threw away my spare "broken" distributor. I would have love to take that appart and see what you are talking about, but your pictures would help a lot. Thanks for the heads up.

Ok now on this first installment ill show you how my dizzy's center shaft and bushing were mauled out and my seal was blown, this is what let the oil pour out of my motor through my cap. Now in the picture of the subassembly the seal and bushing are chewed up and its actually worse in person and not as bad in the pic.

Now in this second installment, these next few pics ill show the new bushing we purchased from an industrial parts company, we had to cut it down to fit and it was a nice fit looked good too, after we cut it down it was time for the seal, we got the seal from the same place except we ran into a problem, we use a sealant and after 24 hours curing i reinstalled everything and put it in and started up and ran the car but to my dismay there was oil leaking.. Upon removing the dizzy again and taking it apart i noticed the seal had blown out and that the sealant wasnt the right kind, in the second pic we used some JB weld and let it set up over night, i havent driven the car because i took the cat off to be replaced but i will post on the results from the second run... but so far it looks good and the JB weld set up very strong and i dont for see a problem.
