Do I have RKE?
Hello all.
I've browsed the site for a day or so and havent found a clear way to find an answer. I just got a 2001 LX yesterday. I'm curious to know how I can find out if my car has RKE. I'm a little spoiled because my previous car had it and i'm not using the key
so I'm having to slow down a bit.
I went to the Honda site and created a profile with my VIN, and for the exterior features it mentioned remote keyless entry: access, but it also mentioned a moonroof (that I don't have)

in the 7th gen and with the '99-'00 models too, the civics came with a separate module for keyless entry. you will have to check to see if the module is in your car. if it is then you need to purchase the fobs and program it and you're good to go. my 98 lx came standard with the wiring pre-installed though it was connected to the factory radio back then.
go to my sig and download your year's civic factory service manual and find out where it is. it is apparently in the driver's side but I cannot be sure since I only have a '98.
