ebay racing mod chip
do you still need the color codes for the resistor because I can't find it all I know that it is very small resistance less than 1ome. As to where it goes not sure how to explain it to u. If you have non v-tech engine like mine D16Y7 which all 1996-2000 Civic DX/LX/CX have then the sensor is in the back of the box where stock air filter goes. On v-tech engines I think it is somewhere on the troutle body. You open the sensor and stick resistor leads in there.

Thats what a sensor should look like

Alright found that stupid resistor. The color code is red, white, gold and gold
red, white, gold, gold
2 9 (means to move desimal point two places to the left) 5%tolarance
I think that is suppose to be .29ohm. I could be wrong thou because I checked it with my ohm meter and it is giving me the reading of 4.9ohm. Not sure if the meter is bad of I forgot how to read resistance of a resistor. First gold band threw me of. But I am pretty sure it should be .29. Go to the Radio Shack and ask tell them the color code of the resistor u need. I got this resistor from my friend he bought it of ebay for his Altima. I am pretty sure that this will work for civic. All that bull**** on the ebay that its only good for spesific car I am sure they send out the same value resistor for every car.

I actually never drove with it. All of the people I know that tried it on their car told me that it was a peace of **** and it only makes your check engine light go on. So I installed it saw that thing light up and took that thing right out. I don't know if it is good to trick your computer into thinking that it gets alot of cold air when it is really doesn't. If you do decide to do it than tell me if you saw any power gains or anything like that. If you do decide to keep it connect is throu a swich. If you took some electronic classes than you shouldn't have any problems with that. A actually had this crazy idea to connect a POT to the sensor and adjust resistance from inside the car but never did it. I gues if I had some crapy old car that I can experiment on I would but I am affraid I'll mess something up.
