Default Electric Window issues

First Post!! Hopefully I have come to the right place for some help.

I have a 1996 EX four door that has been having some "issues" with the power windows. I will try and be as descriptive as possible because this is definitely a weird issue.

Started out that my drivers window would have a hard time going up all the way while all of the other windows would work fine. I worked on this a few times by cleaning and lubing misc. items and it seemed to get better. Then all of a sudden it started to not responding to the switch at all on a very random basis....and I mean random.

Then my PS rear window just quit responding to input all of a sudden. I tried a different switch and it didnt help. Put 12v to the motor and it rolled up fine. Try using front (main panel) switch and door switch and still never works.

Soon after that rear window stopped working I started having intermittent issues with my PS front window. Sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldnt. At times it would go down, but not back up at all on eother switch. Then it quit working all together.

So then my DS rear window is the ONLY window that works everytime all the time when I notice that when I open my drivers door ALL the way, my drivers window works!! None of the PS windows started working though.

To recap, now none of my windows except the DS rear and now the full door open trick doesnt work anymore for my drivers window.

THEN the other night when storms were rollong in I ran out to clos that DS rear that WAS working, no go. It went down a bit more but didnt go up at all on either switch. Car got a good soaking. Next morning got in to go to work and the bastard rolled up and down just fine.

I am at a complete loss and would appreciate any help.

The wires between the body of the car and the driver's door flex every time you open the door, eventually they fail. Test that by opening the door and wiggle the wire harness while holding the window button down. The circuits for all the windows go through the driver's door.

What wiring harness do I need to get then? Or can I remove it easily and repair the wires?

Driver's door harness. To R&R it you'd need to take the door panel off and unplug all the parts inside the door, and unplug the plug on the frame side to the main harness.

If you opt to repair it, splice in sufficient lengths of new wire so the splices are not in the part that flexes. Use a good flexible wire with many fine strands.

This is totally different car, but my two door Accord's left window was not working when I bought it. Troubleshooting lead to right side switch not making contacts within the switch, not allowing ground for the left switch. I think I opened up the switch and cleaned the contacts with contact cleaner and swab, spray some WD40, too. It been working since.

If wire harness look okay, go after those switches. If you can follow wiring diagram, it will be helpful for troubleshooting.
