Default Electrical problem!

i have a 98 civic, with a fairly old battery like 5 years i belive... and i have after market fog lights, and a 1 mtx 4500 12' and a power acustik 980 watt amp...and when i have my driving+fog lights on, and my "system" about 3/4 to distortion, my lights dim, they dont flicker witht he bass hits, they just are just plain dim. i think the problem lies in either the ancient altinator or the old battery. any suggestions?

Probably your alternator. After your car starts the alternator provides all the electricity for your car. If you are planning to get a new one, get a high output alternator.

thats what im thinking.. but im trying to sell my system ( i have 2 subs...but my niehbor complained of a picture falling off of the wall when i went past.) and i will be going with a much smaller amp to amp my speakers. and i think my fog light wires get too hot because they melted the thick plastic isolators....so they will be going as well....

Thanx
